Amazing. Will someone help me with the orientation of this? Those cars are headed Eastbound on Silver Lake, yes?

Pretty much. The photographer is looking northwest, standing (?) over the 101 south on-ramp. The cars in the background are heading northeast on Silver Lake Boulevard.

There are a lot more trees now, but here’s (more or less) the same view on Google Maps.
